Farah,
I was fortunate enough to see your act last night in Indianapolis. My wife and I were invited by N'Kenge to the show. You have an amazing voice. You had my wife in tears when you sung solo. I wish you the best of success in the future.
Sincerely,
John McCann

Miss Alvin: I had the great pleasure of speaking with a for a few miutes Friday evening, May 2 in the lobby of the Circle Theatre after your knock-out performance in Maestro Everly's 70's disco show. I'm the old guy who told you that you made me cry and asked you if you knew tenor sax man John Scarpulla. You are a very pleasant young lady with a wonderous gift. Thank you for sharing your gift with Connie and me. We hope to see and hear you again, soon. Thanks for a great evening and thanks for being so plasant. Gene Worley

Hi Farah,
I just saw you in Edges at the Sondheim Center. I loved the show and you especially blew me away. It was so refreshing to see a woman up there who has curves and is beautiful, charismatic, and very talented. This sounds so cliche, but it helped me feel better about my curves. Rock on!

I just finished watching Ms. Alvin in EDGES in Fairfield, IA and I must say I have never cried and laughed at one show so much. You are a beautiful performing and just stole the show from everyone! Your voice is a voice of the age and is soulful and heartbreak all at once. You change lives with your voice! Blessings

Ms. Alvin,
I want to express my sorrow for the recent loss of your father. The generosity of his friends and colleagues who have donated in his name to the food banks will help us carry on our mission of feeding the hungry at our numerous emergency feeding programs in the Hudson Valley. It is indeed a loving testiment to your father. We will always remember your Dad and the Alvin family. My sympathies in your time off loss,

There is not a better singer/actress treading the boards these days. John and Andrea Alvin contributed lavishly when they presented Farah Alvin to this planet. My heart leaps just to think that she might give me a song again and soon.

Farah... I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your father. My partner and I at TheGoonies.com had been in touch with your father recently about doing an interview to learn more about his experiences creating the poster art for The Goonies. He was a sweet, gracious and talented man.
Our hearts go out to you and your family at this difficult time.
All our love,
The Staff at TheGoonies.com

Dearest Farah,
In the past two days for some strange reason I can't stop hearing you singing 'Lying there' from Edges. Now I stop by and read your guest book. I love you and will always keep you in as one of the finest people I have ever worked with. Blessings to you and our loved ones -- Peter

Dear Farah,
I was so deeply saddened to learn of your father's passing from Sergio. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your Mom at this difficult time. I spoke to your Dad just 2 weeks ago and we had such an upbeat and memorable conversation. I am SO blessed to have known John both professionally and personally and he touched my life in a magnificent and everlasting way. Your father's spirit lives on, not only in the legacy of his paintings and illustrations, but in the hearts of those he touched, lifted and made laugh. I'll carry the twinkle in his eye deep in my heart as I go forward in life, always ready remembering him to the world as the great soul that he was. I know that your Dad would rebuff me with some smart ass thing about now , so I will sign off. I wish you and your family peace and comfort. I hope to visit you next trip back east.
Much love and red shoes,
Mark

Farah, I am so sorry. I just heard the news and I'm in shock. My condolences to you and your mom, I can't imagine how difficult this must be for you. If there is anything, anything, at all that I can do please do not hesitate to ask.
Your father was an amazing man, and he had a profound impact on the lives of everyone he touched... I cherish every moment that I had with him... the world is not the same without him.

Farrah -
I was so sad at hearing the news about your Father. We had many wonderful conversations prior to my manic phase 4 years ago. All that is gone in me now but John asked that I not ever be in touch with you, him or your Mom again — I hope he might see fit to make this one exception. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Farah's performance in Kansas City in Funnygirl left an impact on me that will not soon be forgotten. I love to perform, and Farah's joy and love of the stage shone through with effortless beauty. To watch someone who truly loves what they do is a gift rarely seen. The best part is - everyone loves to see her shine.
