Hi Farah,
Can I just write you a big old fan letter please??!!
I am playing Marge in Breaking Up Is Hard to Do right now at The New Stage Theatre, and literally have had the md rewrite the end of Solataire based on your you-tube clips of the song. You are a fantastic inspiration for me, and I hope to get to see you sing in person when I get back to NYC. Good luck with all you are doing!

Dear Farah - I'm so excited to see you perform again and so close to me in DC! Sycamore Trees sounds like a very interesting new musical! Is there any chance you'll be doing any solo shows while in DC? I'd really love to see you perform some of your own songs.
Peace, Arron

Hi Farah!
I am quite certain you won't remember me, but we went to SOCES together about 100 years ago, back when I was Jennifer Handwerker. Imagine my surprise when I was sitting here working and listening to Seth's Big Fat Broadway on Sirius and I heard your beautiful voice singing Solitaire! Nice to see that you are still singing and have made a career out of it. :) I still remember you singing My Funny Valentine at some talent showcase thing that Mr. Schaeffer put together and I remember thinking that you were amazing then and you still are. I hope you are well, take care!

Hi Farah-
I'm a big fan of yours. I saw you in I Love You Because, Pirates!, and two recent stagings of Next Thing You Know. I noticed from IBDB that you understudied Saraghina when you were in Nine on Broadway. Did you ever get to go on? Thanks!

Hi Farah, my son and I just saw the Wonderettes last night and guess who was Mr Lee again? Yes, me again! Although the show was good, we missed you and the girls sooooo very much. Your character can never be replaced, not unless an angel comes down from heaven to play your role. LOL In the other comments I noticed your going to be at Town Hall July 13 but I'll be out of town that week. What terrible luck! Hopefully I'll see you soon, we miss you. How are the girls doing? I'm trying to follow your careers on the internet but it's not easy. God bless you on all your future endeavors. Victor

Hi Farah.
Jamie Cesa here. I'm a Broadway and off-Broadway producer and general manager. I caught WONDERETTE'S tonight and thoroughly enjoyed your performance. I'm very happy to see your doing so well, but it's no surprise given your immense gifts.

Please add me to your mailing list. I'd love to see you perform more and I'm looking forward to listening to your solo CD.

Dear Farah,
My wife and I attended the show last Friday.I thought you looked familiar when I was dragged onstage to be sung to by you.
It's been more than six years since you moved from the neigh-
borhood and I last saw you and your cats. You are all terrific and I had a blast, though I think I
could have benefitted from one or
two rehearsals.
I hope Ashkenazi and Floyd are fine. You clearly are.

Hi Farah,

I just saw you in Edges at the Sondheim Center. I loved the show and you especially blew me away. It was so refreshing to see a woman up there who has curves and is beautiful, charismatic, and very talented. This sounds so cliche, but it helped me feel better about my curves. Rock on!

Ms. Alvin,

I want to express my sorrow for the recent loss of your father. The generosity of his friends and colleagues who have donated in his name to the food banks will help us carry on our mission of feeding the hungry at our numerous emergency feeding programs in the Hudson Valley. It is indeed a loving testiment to your father. We will always remember your Dad and the Alvin family. My sympathies in your time off loss,

Farah... I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your father. My partner and I at TheGoonies.com had been in touch with your father recently about doing an interview to learn more about his experiences creating the poster art for The Goonies. He was a sweet, gracious and talented man.

Our hearts go out to you and your family at this difficult time.

Dear Farah,
I was so deeply saddened to learn of your father's passing from Sergio. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your Mom at this difficult time. I spoke to your Dad just 2 weeks ago and we had such an upbeat and memorable conversation. I am SO blessed to have known John both professionally and personally and he touched my life in a magnificent and everlasting way. Your father's spirit lives on, not only in the legacy of his paintings and illustrations, but in the hearts of those he touched, lifted and made laugh. I'll carry the twinkle in his eye deep in my heart as I go forward in life, always ready remembering him to the world as the great soul that he was. I know that your Dad would rebuff me with some smart ass thing about now , so I will sign off. I wish you and your family peace and comfort. I hope to visit you next trip back east.

Much love and red shoes,

Mark

Farah, I am so sorry. I just heard the news and I'm in shock. My condolences to you and your mom, I can't imagine how difficult this must be for you. If there is anything, anything, at all that I can do please do not hesitate to ask.

Farrah -

I was so sad at hearing the news about your Father. We had many wonderful conversations prior to my manic phase 4 years ago. All that is gone in me now but John asked that I not ever be in touch with you, him or your Mom again — I hope he might see fit to make this one exception. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Farah's performance in Kansas City in Funnygirl left an impact on me that will not soon be forgotten. I love to perform, and Farah's joy and love of the stage shone through with effortless beauty. To watch someone who truly loves what they do is a gift rarely seen. The best part is - everyone loves to see her shine.
